Self-confidence and self-esteem building course in Hong Kong

Course objectives

This self confidence improving training will make you feel more relaxed and less stressful in various social situations like work, presentation, new relationships, job interview, audition, English speaking, public speaking etc. And your overall performance and relationships will improve.

It is a one-to-one consultation and we focus on your personal problems and goals starting from your current self-confidence issues.

At the highest level, self-confidence will not be an issue for you at all, including the elimination your needs for more positive confidence. You will not focus on yourself and your feelings any more but rather on other people and the task on hand. Your self-centred, inward orientation will be gradually replaced with an outward, performance, connection and fun based attitude.

You will not think of how other people may judge you and you will give up the need to control and manipulate what they think of you. You will give them the freedom to dislike you or your performance. Their criticism will be a useful feedback and an inspiration to improve yourself.

Learn how to reduce anxiety and stress and improve performance in various tasks and social situations

Self-confidence issue can relate to something that involves only you but in most of the cases it relates to situations where we think others judge us. Self confidence can be based on the situation, your position or social role you play for example a doctor can be very confident when they interact with patients but could be very shy in a dating situation.

But what is more important is to deal with core confidence issue, that is, be ok with yourself generally, all the time regardless of your position or social role. Self-confidence relates to what we choose to judge ourselves about and how we evaluate ourselves or what we think of how others judge us.

The solution is not thinking about this when you are interacting with others or performing but accepting your current level and focusing on the task and other people and have a good time. After the performance or event spend some time to evaluate it and start to improve yourself. Change your focus from yourself to others and your performance and do not be so self-centred.

Dead air in a conversation is when you feel uncomfortable when neither you nor the other person you are with do not talk. One component of this is that you do not have much topics to talk about. In this case become more interested in the world generally and read, travel, communicate more. And in the conversation be interested in the topics that come up and in your partner.

Ask questions, open up yourself, relate what they say. So be really interested in many things and people. Dead air can be the result of low self-esteem and you may think what you do not have value to offer. Work on it. One way is get rid of the idea that communication is about sharing useful information. Focus on the emotional side instead of the informational, logical one. Try to have a good time with the other person.

Also, if you are afraid of dead air, you may have a more general problem of afraid of emptiness. Try meditation, empty your mind. Just sit and do nothing, no listening or watching. Just enjoy the moment.
